Pre-holiday thoughts

carrotsBefore the holiday bells ring, can we remind each other that faith traditions, family time, and parties are NOT about dieting? Let's set our sights past the calories, to the celebrations and sharing that really matter. Long term intentions help guide short term actions.

I think it's important to model healthy holiday habits, so we don't raise another generation that freaks out over a piece of pumpkin pie. It's self-destructive behavior, and it leads to other negative habits. If holiday overeating is an annual struggle, identify triggers and come up with a plan that works for You, so you feel in control. If you work through it each year by mid-January, stop obsessing and stressing. Let me know how I can help. If you believe in the concept of a wellness community, build a team that can help you find peace through the upcoming season. ‪
