Great iPhone Apps

There are so many useful (and fun to play with) phone apps for tracking diet and exercise, dining and shopping. I’ll list a few here that I have used, but please share any that you find helpful or just really fun to play around with.

Map My Run - My current favorite for marathon training. Easy to share results privately or publicly on fb.

My Fit Pal - An all purpose app for food journaling, exercise tracking and sharing.

Lose It - Great app for weight tracking and food journaling. Lots of foods already in database and much easier to build personal food list. Share progress on facebook.

My Net Diary - Loaded with weight loss info and user friendly.

Diet and Exercise Assistant - Former favorite, but too labor intensive to build food groups.

Runkeeper - GPS enabled tracker. Haven’t played around too much with it. Thoughts?

Yelp - Location based review site. Register to write restaurant or market reviews or see what others have to say about your destination.

Urban Spoon - Okay, I have two favorites. Find a restaurant in most cities, get reviews, make reservations, view the menu. Optional filters for price, cuisine type.

Four Square - Location based game with points for checking in at establishments. Find others in the room, write reviews, and share on facebook. Become the mayor with frequent visits.

Cor.kz - Wine tracking app lets you scan UPC bar of wine bottle for price, winery, rating, and cellaring.
