Goodbye

Sometimes we say a bittersweet goodbye to friends, knowing their lives will be richer when they’ve moved outside our walls. Tonight we salute a humble couple who gave much more than they took from our small community. From home grown vegetable deliveries to snowplowing the sidewalks, from special cupcakes to encouraging editorials, few people spend so much time lifting others up while seeking only the greater good. This post is to wish the Gehrke’s a blessed retirement, filled with friendship, happiness, wellness and peace. Golf cart rides and midday card parties. All the offerings that a life of servitude should reap.
